Patients and families

Palliative care is the combination of active and compassionate therapies intended to comfort and support persons who are living with, or dying from a progressive  life-limiting illness, or are bereaved.

Through round-the-clock nursing care, pain and symptom management, counseling services and emotional support, the West Island Palliative Care Residence provides the care necessary for the most vulnerable of patients, the terminally ill. Our palliative care services are provided by a team of doctors, nurses, and psychosocial specialists who work together with the patient and his family to provide the best care possible. The services we provide allow terminally ill patients to live their final days in comfort and with dignity in a warm, home-like environment, close to their family, and in their community.
