Anita Mehta named as Director of Education and Knowledge Exchange
The Montreal Institute for Palliative Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Anita Mehta to the position of Director of Education and Knowledge Exchange,effective November 4, 2019.
Anita’s primary responsibilities will be to lead the development and delivery of education and knowledge exchange initiatives in palliative care across care settings and communities in Canada. She will also oversee internal professional training initiatives.
Anita brings with her clinical practice experience in both nursing and psychotherapy, most recently at Cedars Cancer Centre at the MUHC and in private practice, respectively. She also has extensive teaching experience at McGill and John Abbott College and has had significant hands on clinical nursing experience at the Jewish General Hospital. In addition, she was Co-Director of, and instrumental in, the development of the Psychosocial Oncology Program at Cedars Cancer Centre.
She holds Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctoral Program degrees in Nursing, as well as a Master of Science degree in Couple and Family Therapy, all from McGill University. Anita is currently an active teacher at McGill University.
