The Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence Gourmet Dinner & Wine Auction, which was held on November 21, 2020 in a unique in-home experience, raised an impressive $82,000 net.
This year, the pandemic led the Residence to revisit its annual event and to create a new formula in the form of an in-home experience! Partnering with the Forest & Stream Club for its gourmet dinner, participants received a three-course meal for two, wine to accompany the meal and other delicacies, all beautifully packaged in a custom wine crate and delivered on their doorstep last Saturday.
“The past year has definitely shown the importance of access for all to quality palliative care. While COVID has been a challenge, I am proud that we have been able to complete our projects and more importantly, maintain our care for patients and families, although in a somewhat adapted environment to keep everyone safe. And while it has been a challenge, we have never felt alone- always aware of the incredible support that is around us- illustrated be the sheer presence and generosity of everyone at this event. We could not do what we do without the support of so many caring and generous individuals who contribute to events such as our Gourmet Dinner & Wine Auction. We are so grateful!” said Dale Weil, Executive Director of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.
Major sponsors of the event included: Roxboro Excavations inc., Pfizer, Banque Nationale & Anne Myles.
