The Montreal Institute for Palliative Care is hosting a free, 90-minute lecture tailored to a general audience who has an interest in finding out more about compassionate communities and their impact on the well-being of citizens, including those dealing with serious diseases or in the later stages of their lives. A compassionate community is one where people are motivated by compassion to take responsibility for and care about each other. The West Island Palliative Care Residence has teamed up with university researchers to develop a number of compassionate communities in the West Island.
