Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP) Training

Pallium Canada’s LEAP Core* is a two-day course for health care professionals that offers an in-depth learning experience on essential skills and competencies of the palliative care approach based on Canadian realities and current best evidence. LEAP Core modules include:

·         Taking Ownership

·         Decision-Making

·         Pain

·         Gastrointestinal, Nutrition, and Hydration

·         Advance Care Planning

·         Delirium

·         Respiratory Symptoms

·         Psychosocial and Spiritual Care

·         Grief

·         Essential Conversations

·         Last Days and Hours

·         Palliative Sedation

·         Resources and Quality Improvement

This group learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for 28 Mainpro+ credits.

Cost*:

$350 for non-physicians

$400 for physicians

(*includes copy of the Pallium Palliative Pocketbook 2nd Edition)
